THE 6SENSE APPROACH

Leadership 3.0
If the profile for Leader 1.0 was all about bold risk-taking, surrounding oneself with talent, and making tough decisions, and Leader 2.0 added a fuller range of understanding of the functions of the enterprise, then Leader 3.0 adds strong, clear communication, empathy, and the ability to inspire. Think of CEO luminaries such Jack Welch (1.0), Bill Gates (2.0), and Tim Cook or Mary Barra as 3.0.
At 6sense we believe that every member of an organization will benefit from applying the principles of Leadership 3.0. Download an introductory PDF of the program here.

Does 6sense have a meaning?
The 6sense name tips its hat to the following things:
1. It refers to the 6 human senses of taste, smell, vision, hearing, touch and the newest, proprioception. The latter has been medically defined as the ability to sense our body’s orientation and position in our environment, but for our purpose here (apologies to the medical establishment), we'll co-opt this to focus on leadership awareness. The 'sense' that helps to motivate and inspire your team members -- thereby improving many aspects of your business.
2. We are big fans of the Process Communication Model™ and Alan has leveraged his PCM training to help him identify and communicate effectively with all 6 personality drivers in people he has worked with. We think that every leader should delve deeper into understanding how to best communicate with team members -- we speak to this in Leadership 3.0.
3. The city of Toronto's traditional 416 area code combined with the fact that Toronto used to be made up of 6 'boroughs', has led it to be dubbed "The 6ix". Given that Alan is Toronto born and bred, he welcomes this association too.

Motivation/Inspiration/Empathy
In today's business climate, more and more is expected of leaders, from the C-Suite to the Director/Manager level. It's no secret that it's a competitive edge for a company to have a highly motivated and inspired team all 'rowing' in the same direction. This kind of motivated cohesion can only be accomplished by the best quality communication from the top.
At 6sense, we've developed an engaging and comprehensive program to help develop the kind of leaders who will form strategically focused teams, communicate in the clearest manner possible, and build the kind of culture that attracts, inspires, motivates and retains the best people.
Be the leader that you wished you had as a boss when you first started working!
